The Gift of Groove II: The Money Dance

I don't know about you but in my little part of the world a wedding just isn't a wedding until the band plays "The Chicken Dance" (or until an older unmarried sibling multiplies his or her humiliation by dancing in a pig trough, but that's another story).  If the band refuses then someone's drunk uncle can be pressed into service on accordion but I've never actually seen a band refuse to play it.  Cringe while they play it, maybe, but not outright refuse.

You know what would be really impressive in Legos?  The Electric Slide, which is only the name of the dance; the song is actually "The Electric Boogie."  Just throwing that out there to the universe...Lego Electric Slide.

I'm not the only person I know who appreciates the power of the Electric Slide...Anis Mojgani is there with me, too.  You watch this, I'll be clearing some space for everybody.

  1. Wow. Love how you synthesized all this together. What a perfect combination of seeming randomness that makes perfect sense. Rock out!

  3. I also loved the connection between the Chicken Dance and the Electric Slide. Admittedly, it's always a tossup for me between the Chicken Dance and the YMCA dance -- but this parallel is more obscure and thus more convincing!
