Sunday Morning Woody Guthrie

Okay, I know you came here looking for poetry slam goodness.  However, I posted about Woody Guthrie yesterday so I decided to declare this Woody Weekend and here we are.  In keeping with the poetry you're looking for...dude, it's Woody Guthrie, the man knows how to spin a magic lyric.  When he died in 1967 he left behind a bunch of lyrics that he'd never put to music.  In the 90s his daughter Nora offered some of them to Billy Bragg who worked with American band Wilco to turn it into Mermaid Avenue.  My favorite from this album is this one, performed by Wilco.  Have a great Sunday!
