American novelist Alice Walker once wrote, "It's easier to raise the dead than to kill something spiritually alive." That popped into my head this week when I was doing something mundane and it kind of stayed there, hovering in the background, until I started thinking about what this week's poem should be. Then it sort of shouted at me and I knew what I had to choose.
