Flaming Moustache and All

April poems bring May exhaustion.  I didn't think it would be that big of a deal to post everyday like that but it was weird in its way and tiring in that it limited what I could really talk about so at the end I decided to take a little vacation for a week or so and kick back but am I?  No, no rest for this blogger.  I mean, I was going to just ride the wave of Benedict Cumberbatch hysteria (dude, he's doing a part made famous by Ricardo Montalban and if his fandom doesn't run with Sherlock/John/Mr.Roarke/Tattoo wrapped in a bow of Rich Corinthian Leather [TM] I'm going to be really disappointed in them) and check back in next week.  However, uh, something came up.  And by something I mean a situation that I fear is going to turn into a blood feud.

Remember this dude?

If you're unfamiliar, that's Phoenix Jones, one of the RainCity Superheroes based in Seattle and part of the wider Real Life Superheroes movement.  Phoenix got into trouble last fall which led to the court appearance you see up there.  Yep, wore his mask and no, the judge didn't let him keep it on.  Poor guy had his real identity revealed and then he lost his real job but now he has a new and bigger problem.  This was posted yesterday on YouTube.

That's correct.  Rex Velvet, Super Villian.  I don't know that I can actually articulate what I'm thinking beyond sorry, England, that even totally fake ludicrous villians like this have, um, I THINK that's supposed to be an English accent?  You know, to go with the bowler and the suit.  He kind of looks like Dum Dum Dugan, doesn't he?  Anyway.  Where was I?  Oh, being Cumberbatched, that's right.  See you all next week some time.

  1. I meant to say: sympathies, because the inner compulsion to write every day does change how / what one does. It was a great month here, though.
