1. My most popular post, in terms of both comments and hits, has been "The Many Loves of Lucas" from FanstRAvaganza3. Second most popular is "Signed, Sealed, Delivered." If I was going for sheer volume I'd post about Richard Armitage all the time but he's still just not that interesting to me (heh).
2. Richard Armitage remains the most popular search followed by Brendan Coyle, Lenny Kravtiz, Luke Wilson and Benedict Cumberbatch.
3. I finally got an odd search term: Peter Jackson Wycliffe Bible Translators. Yep, that's a head scratcher. I've mentioned each of them in separate posts but I'm wondering what they have to do with each other.
Edit: As it turns out the search is not so odd; the Peter Jackson in the search term isn't the filmmaker but a former Protestant missionary who converted to Orthodoxy. You can read about his journey here.
Anyway, today is our last day in New York and we're listening to songs about the city. A couple of months ago Time Out New York published a list of what they consider the 100 best songs about NYC. Think about how many they had to choose from to whittle it down to that many. We're only listening to five. Ready?
I'm not a huge Jay-Z fan but I loved "Empire State of Mind." Maybe it was Alicia Keys.
You know I love the Ramones by now. "Rockaway Beach" is summertime.
We'll be talking more about John Coltrane when we get to North Carolina but right now we're going to listen to "Central Park West."
Duke Ellington is another artist we'll be revisiting when we get to his hometown of Washington D.C. but "Harlem Nocturne" is one of my favorite pieces of music ever, especially this version performed by Ellington and his orchestra.
This one just about killed me. How do you choose between Billie Holliday, Sarah Vaughan and Ella Fitzgerald? The deciding factor was Louis Armstrong. Love "Autumn in New York."
All right, we'll be heading to New Jersey next. You all have a great day!
HAPPY BLOGIVERSARY!!
