Off Road: This Is Not A Blog Post

PiL announced their new US tour today and that in combination with phylly's post from a couple of days ago have moved me to show you my very favorite pop culture moment of all time, the time John Lydon (Johnny Rotten) appeared on Judge Judy.  Lydon was being sued by his former drummer and Judge Sheindlin wasn't having it.  You'd expect fireworks with these two, wouldn't you?  Both Judge Judy and Lydon were uncharacteristically calm with each other; possibly they were each wary of the other's reputation.  In the end, Lydon was vindicated.  It's about eight minutes long, just to forewarn you.  I really wish she was the judge in the totally ridiculous Pussy Riot case being decided in Russia right now.

  1. Yes, that went surprisingly well. I'm sure the audience was disappointed. :D

    1. LOL, you're probably right. I was actually really happy that he presented himself so well. Really flew in the face of the snarling, juvenile punk stereotype.

  2. Interesting episode, thanks Jazzy!
I was actually impressed at his restraint. I guess he's not so Rotten any more. :)

    1. Unfortunately I missed it when it was on television but I found it on YouTube while I was looking for something else. I can only imagine how much you're defining as "a bit." :)
