Let's Talk About Buns, Baby

Crystalchandlyre posted the teaser for The Anglophile Channel's interview with Richard Armitage this morning and it looks like all involved had a fabulous time BUT -- there's always a but -- we need to talk about the bun thing.

What the hell was that, dude? Was that Val speak? It scares me to think why you might need to master that particular speech pattern. Is there a remake of Valley Girl on the horizon? Randy and Fred were punks so they didn't speak Val which leaves Tommy who was an asshole (the popped collar was a dead giveaway) and just no.

However, if you feel for some reason that you REALLY need to speak Val I have a suggestion because I'm helpful like that. Click the vid. It's the definitive guide to Val speak AND it's Frank Zappa and I can't thank you enough for giving me a relevant excuse to play it (like I need an excuse but the operative term there is relevant). We'll discuss the cheating thing after we see the rest of the evidence sometime this weekend. Have a great day, whatever you're all doing!

    1. If the teaser is anything to go by he let his inner goofball out yesterday. At one point he was asking about buns in a I-think-it-was-Val-speak-but-don't-quote-me accent.

    2. RA as Mr. Flirt was definitely in evidence in that Anglophile teaser. Ha!

And as for the buns? If RA is hungry, I say we had best get to baking. Ha!

    3. Given my experience with birthday cake today I think I'm done baking for a while but you're more than welcome, Grati!

    1. OK, I went to see the teaser on You tube .. Is he on drugs or drunk ? Is he being himself ? Feels unreal to me. I do not know what to think...

    2. The impression I got was giddiness but the teaser is short so I guess we'll have to wait and see. As long as he had a laugh or two it should be good. :)

    1. See, I think Hiddleston is a total charmer and could probably give a masterclass in How to Be An Awesome Celebrity (along with Taylor Hawkins from the Foo Fighters who is so adorable it hurts). I think Armitage, at 42, has a pretty strong sense of who he is as a person so I don't have the same misgivings about his going to Hollywood that others do.

    2. I' m glad you feel that way and hope you are right. It would certainly lessen the charm for me. Sorry about dissing your boy Hiddleston, I find him over the top & cannot stand him but I certainly understand the appeal he might have over some. 😁
