SpReAd The Love: Let's Play A Game

I'm going to be straight with you here: I'm not a Tolkien person. I know, I know, I'm wrong, but be that as it may I'm just not. I'm also not much of a Shakespeare person but don't tell Mr. K, my high school Shakespeare teacher, because you'd break his heart. And REALLY don't tell him that I am a Mark Twain person because Twain was a Baconian and PLEASE don't get Mr. K. started. Trust me. Where was I? Oh yeah, the quote.
The SpReAd The Love Reboot page's subtitle is "Everybody's Got A Little Light Under The Sun" and I've had two or three questions about where I found that quote. It isn't Tolkien and it isn't Shakespeare. I'm issuing a side challenge here. The first person who can tell me where it's from wins a $10USD donation to Adam Brown's London Marathon run in memory of his father for the British Heart Foundation. You can either leave a comment or email me at funkybluedelphinium at gmail dot com.
So, not Shakespeare and not Tolkien. You want a hint? Where am *I* most likely to have picked it up?
And remember, you can still donate a book in our Children's Book Challenge even if you're not posting about it. If you do want to post please email me with the subject line DR SEUSS and we'll get you set up. Our first post in this challenge is from Trudy Brasure and will appear at Gratiana Lovelace's tomorrow morning so I'll link to it then. In the meantime: think funky.

EDIT: Wow, Guylty and Kitty were fast! I thought it'd take longer but they each had the correct answer within ten minutes and their comments came through at about the same time SO they each win $10USD donations to Adam Brown's marathon run. And at Grati's request, since we already have winners, the quote comes from the song "Flashlight" by Parliament Funkadelic so wanna groove? I thought you might. :)

    1. Lol, I'm just glad someone told me I'd spelled Tolkien wrong before it was up too long. :) Did I mention I regularly get my butt handed to me in Scrabble?

  5. Nice one, Jazz! I never would've guessed it -- if it's not classic rock or old country, I haven't a clue :) Love the support for Adam's BHF marathon run too -- that's awesome. He needs to raise his goal again!
